While the government’s e-Mongolia survey continues, overnight posts again argued over cash payouts versus infrastructure spending. @Purevdulam_mn wrote that both camps overlook the National Wealth Fund Law, under which the state’s 34% share of Oyu Tolgoi dividends is meant to go to the Accumulation Fund. MP B. Tsogtgerel (@TsogtgerelB) stressed that the Wealth Fund Law has no clause for cash handouts to citizens unless Parliament passes a separate law.
Deputy PM T. Dorjkhand was quoted by Elch.mn urging that energy infrastructure be funded now with Oyu Tolgoi dividends. Critic Ts. Munkhbat said the government was preparing to use a planned 3 trillion tögrög for elections; NewslifeM and users shared that line. Finance Minister Z.
