Between 18:13 and 22:16 on Saturday, October 31, Mongolian users on X talked most about new claims Kh. Nyambaatar made in a livestream and T. Tulga's bronze medal at the Astana-2026 World Championships. Engagement was relatively low on a weekend evening. Figures were taken at 22:28.

1. Nyambaatar livestream: new claims against the President (new development)

Our 6 PM roundup covered Nyambaatar's demand that President U. Khurelsukh resign (https://www.egov.mn/en/article/nyambaatar-demands-president-khurelsukh-resign-says-he-will-return-when-the-next-president-is-elected). Since then UBN.mn and Udriin Sonin have posted further clips from the livestream by the former Ulaanbaatar mayor, who is in Canada. In them Nyambaatar says Khurelsukh was furious that T. Badamjunai had been brought back from the Philippines, that he was told to "stop" when he wanted N. Udaanjargal investigated over coal, and that officials were instructed in a special room not to raise the Bodi coal issue. He also says the "Mongolian Military Association", which he says the President leads, is building a 23-storey tower. These are Nyambaatar's own unproven allegations. The President's Office has previously accused him of spreading slander. As of 22:28 there was no official response to the new claims. Users are disputing whether an image of a Khurelsukh statue shown in the livestream is genuine, and we could not verify it independently.

5. China sentences a former anti-graft official to death with reprieve

On October 27, the Chengdu Intermediate People's Court sentenced Wang Huimin, a former senior discipline official at the China Securities Regulatory Commission, to death with a two-year reprieve. He was convicted of taking more than 436 million yuan ($65.4 million) in bribes (China Daily, Xinhua). After the reprieve the sentence becomes life imprisonment, with no reduction or parole. Mongolian users shared the story again today. Many argued that people accused of corruption should face the courts rather than flee abroad.

Only six real, verified topics emerged in this window, so we did not pad the list to ten. We left out posts making unproven accusations against individuals or media outlets, figures that could not be confirmed by a source, and topics already covered in earlier roundups.

Methodology: We ranked posts from about 200 major news and influential accounts found through X search, plus more than 50 keyword searches, by an engagement score (likes + 2× reposts + views/100), and checked the facts against news sites. Posts that could not be verified or that carried a risk of defamation were left out. Views expressed by individuals on X do not represent the position of egov.mn.
