Anthropic adds live dashboards and animated explainers to Claude with Dashboards and Motion
Anthropic launched Claude Dashboards, which builds auto-updating dashboards from data platforms and CRMs, and Claude Motion, which turns reports and charts into editable animations, in beta, while making Docs, Slides and Design available on every plan.

Anthropic on October 8 launched Claude Dashboards and Claude Motion in beta, tools that let users create live data dashboards and animations through Claude, as AI companies vie to broaden their suites of workplace productivity applications, Reuters reported.
Claude Dashboards
Available in beta on paid plans, Dashboards connects to data platforms such as BigQuery, Databricks and Snowflake, or CRM tools such as Salesforce, and builds dashboards from plain-language requests that stay current as the underlying data changes. According to Digital Trends, users can click any number to see the query that produced it and hand a dashboard off to tools such as Grafana, Hex, Mixpanel or Sigma for deeper analysis.
Claude Motion
In beta on Team and Enterprise plans, Motion turns a report or a chart into a short animated explainer for presentations or onboarding. Anthropic says Claude writes code that animates text, charts, shapes and images, so no video-generation model is used, there are no AI-generated people, and every word, number and timing remains editable. Animations can be exported as MP4 files or opened in tools including Adobe, Descript, HeyGen, Luma AI and Runway, with Canva and Captions support coming soon.
Docs, Slides and Design go wide
Anthropic also moved Claude Docs, Slides and Design out of beta and onto every plan, including Free. The Decoder reported that more than 45 million documents have been created with these tools. For Enterprise customers, Dashboards and Motion are off by default, while Docs, Slides and Design switch on by default on October 15.
Why it matters
Anthropic said the tools are meant to help users analyze business data and create visual content without coding, pushing Claude further into territory long held by office-software suites from Microsoft and Google.
