Anthropic to share first Q3 figures with investors as it prepares for a possible record IPO
CNBC reports Anthropic will disclose third-quarter financials for the first time to institutional investors meeting at its San Francisco headquarters this week, as the AI lab prepares for what could be a roughly $2 trillion IPO.

Anthropic plans to disclose its third-quarter 2026 financials for the first time at a meeting with institutional investors this week as it prepares for what could be the largest initial public offering in history, CNBC reported on October 13. Bloomberg first reported that the meeting was happening; Anthropic declined to comment.
According to two people familiar with the matter, the San Francisco-based lab will release updated numbers to investors gathering at its headquarters on Wednesday. The disclosure comes as revenue figures from private AI giants have begun to move broader markets.
Why the numbers matter
Last week, confusion around a report on OpenAI’s revenue and updated accounting dragged down major semiconductor stocks and the Nasdaq. OpenAI shared an updated revenue figure of $50 billion with current investors as part of an ongoing fundraise — lower than the widely reported $70 billion — after stripping out revenue from cloud partners, and not as a sign of weaker demand, a person familiar with the matter told CNBC.
It is unclear whether Anthropic will account for partner revenue the same way, but this week’s figures should give investors a clearer snapshot of growth and profitability ahead of an IPO. CNBC said Anthropic is pushing ahead with what could be a roughly $2 trillion listing based on latest reported revenue numbers that could top $100 billion by year-end — a valuation that would put it ahead of SpaceX’s historic debut.
Timing and market risk
Anthropic filed confidentially with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission earlier this year but has not made its S-1 financials public. Reuters has reported a possible November listing, though people familiar with the plans could not confirm a date to CNBC. The company would be listing as rising interest rates shake parts of the AI trade. Broadcom CEO Hock Tan said this week that access to capital could become the biggest constraint on AI companies, helping extend a sell-off in chip stocks.
Bankers are watching investor appetite for growth and AI names closely; market conditions remain one of the biggest variables in Anthropic’s IPO path.
