1. Tenders won by MP M. Enkhtsetseg's family company come under renewed scrutiny

Following the dispute between MP M. Enkhtsetseg and an aide to Energy Minister B. Naidalaa, X users revived questions about state tenders won by Bodit Chadal LLC, the company of her husband S. Batkhürel. The most widely shared post claimed that the company has won 94 publicly funded tenders since 2017, mostly from Erdenet Mining, Thermal Power Plants No. 3 and No. 4 and the national transmission grid, and that in 2020 it was the sole winner of a ₮23.3 billion heat-meter tender, citing data from opendatalab. Ergelt.mn published the same figures in 2024.

In a September 2026 interview with UBN.mn, Enkhtsetseg said: "I have not broken any law or stolen anything." She said her husband has run a specialised business since 2011 and competed in tenders on price and quality. She added that the ₮23.3 billion tender had not been executed to even a million tögrög, so the funding never passed through the company.

2. Fuel: inspections at 264 stations as supplies fall short (new development)

There were new steps on the fuel queues covered in the 10 PM roundup. Ulaanbaatar Mayor B. Pürevdagva said all 264 filling stations operating in the capital would be fully inspected on October 29. If a station is found to have created artificial queues, measures could go as far as revoking its land rights and special licence.

UBN.mn reported the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources as saying that ordered fuel had not fully arrived, causing difficulties. A team led by State Secretary B. Dashpürev was working at stations in the north of the city. Dashpürev had earlier told Mass.mn that a total of 88,000 cubic metres of fuel had been agreed for October. Officials are also forcing some stations that had stock but were not selling to reopen and resume normal operations.

3. E. Davaanasan wins world championship bronze

4. Zelensky: trilateral talks in Abu Dhabi planned before November 10

Speaking at a press conference in The Hague on October 28 with Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said technical-level talks between Ukraine, the United States and Russia are planned in Abu Dhabi between November 6 and 10. The Kyiv Independent and Ukrainska Pravda reported that Washington is expected to confirm the date around November 4, while Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov said no date has been set. Zelensky said territorial issues would be discussed only at the level of heads of state.

Jetten also announced a new €500 million military aid package for Ukraine covering air defence and drones.

5. Flávio Bolsonaro leaves Brazil and lands in Florida
