Trending on X, 2 AM: Hwasa, Kraków, Sodbaatar, MPP, insulation

Below are the five topics Mongolian users discussed most on X between 22:13 on November 7 and 02:13 on November 8 (Ulaanbaatar time). Activity was relatively quiet on Saturday night, but the post-concert gesture by Hwasa and Crush, the armed attack in Kraków, and a statement by the MPP secretary-general still stood out. Topics already covered in the 14:00, 18:00 and 22:00 roundups are repeated only when there is a genuine new development. Engagement figures reflect the snapshot at 02:23.

1. Hwasa and Crush bow saying “Love you” to Mongolian fans (new development)

The 10 PM roundup noted that South Korean artists Hwasa and Crush performed at Buyant-Ukhaa Sports Palace in the HOT STAGE × K-Pop Masterz show. In this window, clips of the artists kneeling and telling Mongolian fans “Love you” circulated widely. Users wrote that such deference is rare in Mongolia and some contrasted it with how local celebrities treat audiences.

2. Armed attack in Kraków leaves multiple people dead

On November 7 an armed attack in Kraków’s main square left six people dead and more than a dozen injured, according to international outlets including the BBC and Bloomberg. Polish police said the attacker was a Polish citizen who was shot and detained after an exchange of fire. Mongolian users shared the news and recalled visits to the usually calm city. 3. Ya. Sodbaatar: MPP will consult the public on its 2027 presidential nominee

MPP Secretary-General Ya. Sodbaatar told an eastern and Gobi regional party meeting that the party’s 2027 presidential nominee would be chosen based on grassroots, member and public input plus rating surveys, UBN and sonin.mn reported. He also said membership rolls had been cleaned to about 304,000 verified members. Discussion on X was limited, but the report was shared.

4. Criticism of the MPP continues after the capital baga khural

The 6 PM roundup covered B. Purevdagva’s election as head of the capital MPP committee. In this window users kept posting critical views of the party’s leadership and Ulaanbaatar politics. These are individual opinions; unverified accusations are not treated as established fact.

5. Well-insulated home example draws attention amid air pollution

A resident’s readings showing outdoor −15°C and elevated PM2.5 while indoor air stayed about 22°C with PM2.5 near zero — reportedly without active heating — circulated on X. Users discussed insulation and air purification. The post is one person’s observation, not an official citywide air-quality result.

Methodology: We ranked posts from about 200 major news and influential accounts found through X search, plus more than 50 keyword searches, by an engagement score (likes + 2× reposts + views/100), and checked the facts against news sites. Posts that could not be verified or that carried a risk of defamation were left out. Views expressed by individuals on X do not represent the position of egov.mn.
